The JGSGW genealogy library is at its new location at the B'nai Israel Congregation, 6301 Montrose Road, Rockville, Maryland 20852. It is co-located with the Chod Media Center on the second floor.

Library Hours - starting October 6, 2010

The following are the hours for the JGSGW Genealogy Library, in the Chod Media Center of B'nai Israel Congregation, for Fall 2010. We welcome all members.

First Sunday of the month 10:00 AM - noon

Wednesdays

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

In addition, the library will be open after Society meetings at B'nai Israel, from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM.

The library will be closed on Jewish and Federal holidays. The library will also be closed on Wednesday, December 29, and Sunday, January 2. Regular library hours will resume on January 5.

The Library is non-circulating for reference only and is open to members of JGSGW, and B'nai Israel (with a BI library card).

Included in the collection are about 300 recorded lectures on subjects of particular interest to Jewish genealogists. Most of the lectures are about one-hour in length and may be listened to at one of the 13 workstations located in the Chod Media Center.
